Venerable Grandmaster Seol Jeog Un

Venerable Jeog Un inherited the ways of the traditional Korean Buddhist martial arts from his master, the great Grandmaster Yang Ik. He was ordained at Beomeosa Temple 

in 1975. He is the founder and director of the International Sunmudo Daekumkangmun Foundation, and is the Abbot of Golgulsa Temple.

History of the Golgulsa

     Started propagation of Sunmudo Daekumkangmun

     Established the Headquarters of Sunmudo of Golgulsa temple

     Established Sunmudo College

     Established The World Sunmudo Federation

     Hosted Korean Traditional Martial Arts Competition & Culture Festival of the temple      for celebrating the 25th anniversary of propagating Sunmudo

     Established the Foundation of Sunmudo Daekumkangmun

     Established Sunmudo Hwarang School for alternative teenagers education 

     Started regular performance of the Deva Team, Sunmudo Demonstration

     Made the Dharma Bell for the 30th anniversary Sunmudo propagation to the world &      the 25th reconstruction Golgulsa Temple

     Designated as a traditional temple     (Registered No. 가-167, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do)

     Hosted the 16th Korean Traditional Martial Arts Competition &      the 15th Korean-Japanese Traditional Martial Arts Competition of friendship
