Since 2001, the Federation has hosted the Korean Traditional Martial Arts Academic Seminar annually and published Korean Traditional Martial Arts Academic Journal I & II in 2007. It has also organized the Hwarang and Buddhist Warrior Martial Arts Traditional Competition every year since 2001.
The Federation actively engages in international exchange programs. In 2008, it hosted the first Korea–Japan Traditional Martial Arts Exchange Meeting in Seoul, followed by the second meeting in Tokyo in 2010. In 2014, it held the 3rd Korea–Japan Exchange Meeting (June) and the 12th Hwarang and Buddhist Warrior Martial Arts Competition (October). In 2015, it organized the 13th Golgulsa Traditional Martial Arts Competition (October) and the Korea–China–Japan Martial Arts Exchange Meeting (November). In 2016, it held the Korea–Japan Exchange Competition in Japan (May) and a seminar in the United States (November). In 2017, it conducted a seminar in Norway (July) at the invitation of TTU. In 2018, the 5th Korea–Japan Traditional Martial Arts Exchange Meeting and the 16th Golgulsa Traditional Martial Arts Competition were held in October.

In October 2024, the Federation successfully hosted the 20th Hwarang and Buddhist Warrior Descendants Golgulsa Traditional Martial Arts Competition and the 6th Korea–Japan Traditional Martial Arts Exchange Meeting.
